Does the surface treatment of fluorinated square barrels effectively enhance their chemical corrosion resistance?

In the field of chemical packaging and liquid transportation, the corrosion resistance of containers has always been the focus of people's attention. Especially for some irritating or reactive liquid substances, if the material of the container itself does not have good chemical stability, it will not only affect the safety of the storage and transportation process, but also easily cause liquid leakage or environmental pollution. Fluorination treatment is a technology for molecular-level modification of plastic surfaces. By introducing highly active fluorine molecules into the surface of the container, a fluorinated film with a stable structure is formed. Although this layer of film is not easy to detect with the naked eye, it greatly improves the chemical inertness of the barrel, making it show strong resistance when it comes into contact with various corrosive media. Common acid and alkali solutions, organic solvents, cleaning agents and other substances are difficult to penetrate or destroy the internal structure of the barrel under the isolation effect of the fluorinated surface, thereby effectively ensuring the integrity of the barrel.
Compared with traditional plastic square barrels, the advantage of fluorinated square barrels lies in the surface modification treatment. When a general plastic barrel is in contact with organic solutions or strong acidic substances for a long time, the surface may swell, soften or even crack. This change often means that the performance of the material is degraded, which in turn affects the safety of use. The molecular arrangement of the barrel surface after fluorination treatment is more dense and stable, which can greatly slow down the penetration rate of chemicals, making it more suitable for use in complex chemical environments.
The surface of the fluorinated square barrel becomes smoother and less likely to absorb impurities, which is more conducive to cleaning and reuse in practical applications. It is not easy for liquid to remain or chemical reactions to occur inside the barrel, which helps to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. This feature is particularly critical for industries with high cleanliness requirements such as medicine, pesticides, and food additives. During repeated use, the performance of the barrel remains relatively stable, and the frequency of replacement due to material aging is also reduced.
Although the fluorination treatment mainly changes the properties of the barrel surface, it does not weaken its original mechanical strength. On the contrary, due to the formation of a fluorinated film, its ability to resist external erosion is improved to a certain extent. This treatment method usually does not involve additional coating or spraying, so it will not fail due to wear and has good long-term durability. For this reason, fluorinated square barrels are often used to load high-concentration liquids, and can even be competent in situations where long-term static or long-distance transportation is required.
