What are the high and low temperature resistance performance of PP plastic barrels?

PP plastic barrels are widely used in various industries, including chemical, food, pharmaceutical and other fields due to their excellent physical and chemical properties. In terms of temperature resistance, PP plastic barrels show relatively ideal performance, especially in the adaptability in high and low temperature environments.
PP plastic barrels have relatively good high temperature resistance and can usually withstand temperatures up to about 100 degrees Celsius. For short-term high temperature exposure, PP materials can maintain the stability of their structure and shape. Since polypropylene itself has a high melting point, it can withstand high temperatures within a certain range without deformation or softening. Therefore, PP plastic barrels are often used to store some chemicals or items that need to be heated or stored at room temperature.
Although PP plastic barrels perform well at conventional high temperatures, long-term exposure to high temperatures exceeding their tolerance limit may still cause material performance degradation. Long-term exposure to high temperatures may affect the durability and impact resistance of the barrel. Therefore, when choosing PP plastic barrels for use in high temperature environments, it is necessary to consider whether there are appropriate protective measures to avoid direct exposure to excessively high temperatures.
For low temperature performance, PP plastic barrels also have a certain degree of cold resistance. Generally speaking, the low-temperature use range of PP materials is usually between -20 degrees Celsius and -30 degrees Celsius. Even in low-temperature environments, PP plastic barrels can still maintain a certain toughness and strength and are not easy to crack. It is suitable for some items that need to be stored or transported at low temperatures, such as refrigerated foods, medicines, etc.
When the temperature is too low, the flexibility of PP materials may decrease and become more fragile. Especially in extremely low temperature environments, long-term exposure may cause cracks or ruptures in PP plastic barrels. Therefore, when using PP plastic barrels in low-temperature environments, it is also necessary to consider the temperature changes of the external environment to ensure that the barrel body is not affected by excessive freezing.
The high and low temperature resistance of PP plastic barrels is suitable for most common working environments, especially when the temperature changes are relatively mild. However, users still need to consider the impact of temperature on the performance of PP plastic barrels according to specific use occasions, and choose appropriate materials and product specifications to ensure their safe use in extreme environments.
